We're looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to join our team and help create innovative, sustainable solutions. The Role As a Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for building high-quality retail websites and consumer-facing applications with a focus on usability, design, and performance. You’ll work on extending and improving our customizable, themeable e-commerce platform, allowing brands to quickly set up marketplaces that meet their unique requirements. You’ll also contribute to our growing frontend infrastructure, working with technologies like Next.js, React, and GraphQL to optimize and enhance user experiences. • Proficiency in TypeScript, React, CSS, and GraphQL (or similar technologies)
• Strong experience building consumer-facing websites or applications
• Experience collaborating with product and design teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
• Ability to balance technical complexity with speed of delivery
• Knowledge of web performance optimization and best practices for frontend development

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Next.js, or Apollo Client
• Familiarity with server-side rendering and edge computing
• Bonus: Experience working in a customer-facing technical role
• Bonus: Exposure to AWS, Terraform, or Vercel

What You Will Be Doing

• Building retail websites for brands with a focus on usability, design, and performance
• Extending and improving our customizable, themeable e-commerce platform to meet brand-specific requirements
• Working on frontend infrastructure projects, such as code generation, GraphQL APIs, and optimizing build systems
• Collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Learning and growing in a supportive, engineering-driven environment

Tech Breakdown

• 80% Front End Development (building consumer-facing websites and improving frontend infrastructure)
• 20% Collaboration & Optimization (working with product, design, and backend teams)

Daily Responsibilities

• 80% Hands-On (coding, building new features, troubleshooting)
• 20% Team Collaboration (working with product and design teams to ensure cohesive user experiences)

The Offer

• Salary: $160,000 - $220,000 + equity
