AI Software Engineer – JavaScript & PythonRemote (UK only)£40,000-£60,000 + equity

Better Placed Tech has partnered with a Microsoft backed AI business that is close to securing a major seed round from a leading AI VC. With this impending funding and a great array of clients, they are now looking to add to their UK based team.

The founding team is composed of industry leaders and innovators taken from some of the best-known tech businesses and educational institutions on the globe. They’re working on cutting edge technologies that are revolutionizing the AI landscape.

Now is the time for another AI Software Engineer to come on board and be a key part of the UK team.

This role is fully remote, but it would be good if you are open to travelling to Silicon Valley 1-2 times per year for collaboration.

The Job

You’ll be a talented, motivated AI Engineer (or aspiring) with either a top Uni degree in Maths/CS and/or 6-18 months experience in a native AI start up. As a key UK hire you will work on training next gen models alongside an established US team. They love to invest in bright, passionate engineers with an established team to learn from.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficient in Python; experience with PyTorch is a bonus.
• JavaScript, including React, Next.js, and Node.js experience
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining full-stack applications.
• Experience working with APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
• Great academic background and/or 6-18 months commercial post degree

Day to Day

• Develop and maintain synthetic data tools to support AI model training and

evaluation.

• Work on large language models (LLMs) and contribute to their improvement and

deployment.

• Integrate with various APIs to enhance product functionality.
• Build and enhance products for enterprise customers, ensuring high performance

and reliability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and their applications.
• Experience with SDLC and building web apps
• Prior experience working with enterprise customers.
• Masters degree in CS or Mathematics
