HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Full Stack Engineer to help build, evolve and operate scalable digital products that deliver value for our customers and colleagues.
This role requires strong hands-on experience across Java and JavaScript ecosystems, alongside practical experience using approved AI-assisted development tools as part of a modern software engineering workflow. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across the full stack and contributing throughout the software development lifecycle.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience using AI tooling to support activities such as: Code generation and refactoring; Test creation and automation; Documentation generation; Code analysis and review
- Technical investigation and problem solving
- Ability to review, validate and improve AI-generated outputs to ensure quality, security and maintainability
- Strong commercial experience developing software using Java and Spring Boot
- Experience building and operating distributed systems, RESTful APIs and microservices
- Strong commercial experience using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience building modern web applications using React
- Next.js experience is desirable
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, code quality and maintainable code
- Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility and responsive design
- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and modern software delivery approaches
- Experience with containerisation technologies
- Understanding of infrastructure, monitoring and observability practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment

- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms
