Backend Developer – API & Data Ingestion

Cyvex.io offers personalized audits, cloud-native pentests, and in-depth analyses of Terraform, Kubernetes, and SaaS infrastructures.

About the Role:

We are building a next-generation security SaaS platform and looking for a talented Backend Developer to craft high-performance APIs, data ingestion pipelines, and alerting systems. You will work closely with product and security experts to design a scalable and secure backend.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build RESTful APIs for data ingestion, storage, and retrieval.
• Implement data parsing engines for structured security data.
• Create scalable and maintainable database architectures (PostgreSQL).
• Develop alerting mechanisms integrating with Slack, Email, and other platforms.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization protocols.
• Collaborate with frontend and cloud teams to deliver a seamless experience.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience building and maintaining scalable backend applications.
• Proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Flask) or Node.js (Express, NestJS).
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and API security (OAuth, JWT, API keys).
• Solid experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Familiarity with application security standards such as OWASP Top 10.
• Experience building authentication and authorization systems securely.
• Ability to translate security risks into robust backend designs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation.
• Bonus: Prior experience with security, compliance, or SaaS projects.
