We are seeking a highly qualified Lead Python Engineer with knowledge of React to contribute to a project for our Client, a multinational investment and asset management company. The Team Lead will guide a cross-functional software development team, driving the creation of high-quality cloud-native solutions. The preferred candidate will have a proven background in Python, full-stack development, and cloud platforms like Azure and AWS. This position calls for expertise in collaboration with stakeholders, delivering technical solutions, and nurturing an environment of innovation and continuous improvement within the team. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work from any location in Poland, whether it’s your home or one of our well-equipped offices in Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Lodz, Warsaw, or Wroclaw.Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional software development team to ensure delivery of high-quality cloud-native solutions
  • Create, maintain, and optimize high-performance backend systems with Python, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency
  • Participate actively in frontend development using React, JavaScript frameworks, and TypeScript
  • Design cloud-based solutions on AWS and Azure, emphasizing best practices in security, scalability, and cost optimization
  • Use cloud infrastructure tools, such as Terraform and ArgoCD, to automate provisioning, management, and deployment
  • Establish and refine CI/CD pipelines with tools like Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitHub Actions for rapid and reliable software delivery
  • Evaluate and enhance distributed systems for superior performance, scalability, resiliency, and effective fault management
  • Work with stakeholders to gather, translate, and refine requirements into actionable tasks and clearly defined product backlogs
  • Facilitate agile processes, such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, while incorporating techniques like Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Requirements

  • Expertise in backend development with Python
  • Background in UI/UX development using React, with exposure to Material UI frameworks
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and TypeScript
  • Understanding of Internal Developer Platform architecture, with familiarity with platforms like Backstage
  • Hands-on experience in cloud architecture, particularly AWS and Azure
  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure tools including Terraform and ArgoCD
  • Familiarity with continuous delivery tools like ADO Pipelines and GitHub Actions
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, with proven scalability, resiliency, and performance expertise
  • Background in working with stakeholders for requirements analysis and defining product backlogs
  • Competency in agile delivery, with exposure to testing methodologies like TDD
  • Flexibility to work within UK hours

  • Background in developing cloud-native platform solutions
  • Understanding of modern DevOps practices and agile frameworks
  • Familiarity with self-healing infrastructure and automation strategies
  • Interest in optimizing developer experience and workflow processes within organizational structures
