Service Delivery Senior Manager - Application Engineering

SUMMARY:

The Service Delivery Senior Manager for Application Engineering is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of project services and solutions within the Application Engineering practice area. This role focuses on delivering exceptional project outcomes, ensuring technical excellence, and aligning project execution with business goals. The Senior Manager will support Project Consultants throughout the entire engagement lifecycle and drive project success by leveraging deep technical expertise and leadership skills. Additionally, the Senior Manager identifies expansion opportunities within the assigned portfolio and contributes to practice area growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Application Engineering Specialization: Apply technical expertise and industry knowledge to lead the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with Application Engineering best practices.
• Project & Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of Application Engineering projects, providing oversight and support to ensure successful delivery against scope, timeline, and budget. Facilitate risk management and mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
• Team Leadership & Development: Mentor, motivate, and develop team members, boosting morale and maintaining a high level of employee satisfaction and retention. Foster skill development and career growth through structured guidance and support.
• Client Relationship Management: Serve as a key point of contact for client engagements within Application Engineering, ensuring client satisfaction, managing expectations, and identifying opportunities for additional business.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive delivery innovation within the Application Engineering practice area, implementing process improvements and best practices that optimize project execution and enhance team efficiency.
• Technical and Solution Guidance: Provide direct technical support and guidance throughout project engagements, ensuring that solutions meet or exceed client expectations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee Project Team Leads and Consultants within client accounts.

• DevOps Practices & Tooling: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (Terraform), and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Software Architecture & Design Patterns: Understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven design, and RESTful API development.
• Data Integration & Management: Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), data integration platforms, and data processing tools.
• Security Best Practices: Understanding of application security principles, secure coding standards, and compliance frameworks.
• Agile Methodologies & Project Management: Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools such as Jira or Confluence.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience leading technology teams and delivering Application Engineering solutions, with a strong track record in project delivery and client satisfaction.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• US Based travel 5-15%
