This role will focus on building and refining user-facing experiences that support high-traffic media functionality across web applications. You will partner closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver polished features, improve performance, and ensure the underlying interfaces and APIs support a seamless experience. The position also involves contributing across the full development lifecycle while helping raise engineering quality and mentoring others on best practices.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $165,000 – $229,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to create engaging features
- Contribute to the entire development cycle: design, develop, test, and launch solutions
- Design full-stack solutions, optimizing media player interfaces and backend APIs
- Deliver high-quality results with minimal process overhead and few production bugs
- Review code and design documents, providing feedback on specifications
- Work with client and platform engineers to enhance media performance globally
- Establish best practices and mentor junior engineers for professional growth
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of software development experience in general-purpose languages such as Go, Python, Rust, or Ruby
- Proficiency in modern web technologies including JavaScript, React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Experience with API design using GraphQL, REST, HTTP, gRPC, or Thrift
- Strong organizational and task prioritization skills
