This role will help shape the technical direction of a session replay product across frontend and backend systems. You will drive architecture decisions, improve data handling for large-scale investigative workflows, and collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering partners. The position also includes direct customer interaction to inform adoption, feedback, and continued product improvement. Compensation: $164,490 – $197,389 annually
Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction for session replay across frontend and backend systems
- Drive backend architecture evolution, with a focus on columnar data storage
- Design investigation workflows that connect session replay with telemetry
- Make architectural decisions that impact multiple teams and products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user experiences
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and support adoption
- Mentor team members and help improve engineering standards
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly with data-intensive systems
- Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, and React
- Strong understanding of columnar and analytical data storage solutions
- Experience with object storage systems such as S3, GCS, or Azure Blob, and MySQL
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly in English
- Experience with user-centered software development processes
- Familiarity with AI tools in engineering workflows
