Staff Frontend Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will shape the architecture and technical direction of a broad frontend ecosystem that supports product teams across the organization. You will help define standards that improve scalability, performance, accessibility, and long-term maintainability while enabling faster delivery. The position also requires close partnership with other engineers and technical leaders to create leverage through shared platforms, tools, and clear engineering practices. In addition, you will contribute to AI-native development approaches that improve quality and support responsible production workflows.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $175,000 – $225,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Set frontend architecture strategy to optimize product leverage and flexibility.
• Lead the design system as an engineering platform, shaping its technical direction and adoption.
• Own frontend quality and production health, integrating performance and accessibility into design decisions.
• Create APIs, tools, and documentation to simplify excellent frontend engineering for all engineers.
• Establish AI-native engineering practices, ensuring human oversight of review and production.
• Raise engineering standards, guiding Senior engineers toward broader ownership and alignment across teams.
  
  

Qualifications

• Deep frontend architecture expertise across substantial Angular, React, or comparable applications.
• Technical depth to lead an Angular + TypeScript platform, including understanding core concepts across frameworks.
• Experience building frontend platforms that other teams successfully depend on.
• Ability to set quality, performance, security, privacy, and accessibility standards across teams.
• Competency in reasoning about production systems beyond the browser with API and service boundaries.
• Skill in creating technical leverage and building alignment across teams without relying solely on authority.
• Experience working at organizational scale with AI-first engineering patterns.
