Senior Full Stack Developer (Shopify Specialist)

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to take the lead in optimising our global e-commerce platforms. This role is perfect for a proactive, solutions-driven individual who wants to shape the future of our technology landscape and support our international growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:1. Core Development & Optimisation (70%)

• Code Audit & Optimisation:
• Conduct comprehensive audits of our Shopify codebase to ensure best practices, performance optimisation, and maintain high coding standards.
• Identify and implement improvements for speed and code efficiency, aiming for load times under 2 seconds.
• Migrate to a headless Shopify theme using Hydrogen.
• Custom Development:
• Developinteractive Shopify features like 3D visualisations and custom app builds to minimise reliance on third-party apps.
• Build bespoke solutions for shipping zones, pre-order management, in-stock/out-of-stock status, and dynamic pricing models.
• Implement server-side tracking to resolve data accuracy issues.
• Marketplace Integration:
• Integrate Shopify with global marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, eBay) for seamless multi-channel sales.
• Implement multi-currency, multi-language, and international shipping functionalities.
• Performance Optimisation:
• Continuously improve site speed, aiming for a90+ Google PageSpeed score.
• Implement advanced caching, script minification, and image optimisation techniques.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure coding standards and conduct regular QA checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Shopify, CIN7, and third-party integrations.

2. Strategic Growth & Innovation (30%)

• Global Brand Expansion:
• Develop scalable solutions for international growth, including USA expansion and multi-language support.
• Innovation Leadership:
• Implementcutting-edge technologies like Hydrogen and headless commerce.
• Pioneer new features that set us apart in the home furniture e-commerce space.
• Mentorship & Collaboration:
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams for A/B testing and enhancing the customer experience.

Key Performance Indicators (First 90 Days):

• Replace 70% of app-based functionality with custom-built features.
• Improve conversion rate to 1.4% by delivering three custom features.
• Launch international shipping and multi-language support within two months.
• Integrate 5 new marketplace channels, including launching in the USA.
• Achieve and maintain a 90+ site speed score on Google PageSpeed Insights.
• Audit and streamline 100% of the codebase within one month, establishing coding standards.

Skills & Experience:

• Technical Expertise:
• 4+ years of experience withShopify (Liquid), Hydrogen, and headless commerce frameworks.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and backend technologies like PHP.
• Experience with CIN7, Shopify, BigQuery, Klaviyo, and server-side tracking.
• Global & Marketplace Experience:
• Proven success inmulti-channel integration (e.g., Amazon, eBay) and international expansion.
• Experience with Kickstarter Product Market Fit and CRO strategies.
• E-Commerce & Industry Knowledge:
• Expertise inhome furniture e-commerce or similar industries.
• Experience building custom apps and integrating advanced tech stacks for scalability.
• Leadership & Innovation:
• Proven ability to lead development projects and mentor junior developers.
• Track record of delivering innovative solutions that reduce reliance on third-party apps.
