Frontend Developer Intern
Job Description
Posted on: July 15, 2026
Mosaic Conseil operates as a small, remote workshop dedicated to rebuilding business artifacts one at a time. Whether it is a pricing grid, a three year plan, or a diligence file, we take things apart on the bench and put them back together against the evidence of the invoice ledger. Our process is personal and focused. We do not work on standing retainers and we do not produce slide decks. Instead, we return the same artifact a client sent, redrawn with precision and supported by a written argument. Our partner for this current engagement is a Rome-based luxury watches e-commerce player. We are currently rebuilding their internal pricing and inventory valuation tools to better reflect the realities of high-end asset liquidation and inventory churn. About Mosaic Conseil We are a boutique remote consultancy where professionals rebuild business plans and financial models with precision. We keep the workshop small on purpose to ensure that the people who do the work also communicate directly with the clients. Our work is handled on paper and backed by a telephone number that answers for ninety days. We focus on four specific rooms: financial services, industrial networks, growing software companies, and healthcare systems. By staying small and fully remote, we remain independent and focused on the evidence at the floor of the business. There is no corporate theater here, just a focus on the ledger and the written word. What you would do In this role, you will focus on building the frontend interfaces for our custom financial artifacts. Our partner in the luxury watch sector requires a specialized portal that allows them to visualize inventory data and pricing models based on real-time market signals. You will move these models from spreadsheets and written drafts into functional, browser-based tools. A typical week involves translating logical requirements into React or similar JavaScript components, ensuring that every data point on the screen matches the underlying financial logic. Every piece of code you write will go through our builder and challenger model. This means while you build a feature, another team member will systematically test the logic and the presentation to ensure it holds up to scrutiny. You will spend your time coding, documenting your logic in writing, and refining the user experience for complex data sets. Helpful background We are looking for a student or entry-level developer who values intellectual honesty and has a strong technical foundation. You should have basic comfort with JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, or Svelte, and a solid understanding of HTML and CSS. Experience with data visualization libraries or a general interest in how financial data is presented is highly useful for our work with the Rome-based e-commerce player. Because we rely heavily on written arguments rather than meetings, you must be able to explain your technical choices clearly in writing. An interest in the mechanics of business, particularly how inventories and ledgers function, will help you understand the artifacts we build. We value curiosity and the discipline to research a problem independently before asking for a second opinion. How we work We work in a fully remote environment designed for deep, uninterrupted focus. We do not have standing meetings or daily stand-ups that break your concentration. Instead, we schedule specific times to discuss the build/challenge cycle of a project. Communication happens primarily through written notes and asynchronous updates. Every file we produce carries two names: the builder and the challenger. This ensures that every assumption is tested before a file closes. This model requires a high degree of self-organization and the ability to work without constant supervision. We believe that professional work happens when people are given the space to think and the tools to execute without the distractions of a traditional office setting. What the role offers This is a full-time, paid internship that provides a view into the intersection of finance and software development. The pay is competitive for the market and reflects the high standard of work we expect. You will gain experience working on a high-stakes project for a prominent Italian e-commerce player in the luxury sector, learning how to build tools that directly impact a company's bottom line. There is no busy work here. You will be building functional tools that our clients will use to manage their businesses. We offer a quiet, professional remote culture where your growth is measured by the quality of your output and the clarity of your logic. You will learn the discipline of a boutique firm that prioritizes the evidence of the invoice ledger over the aesthetics of a slide deck. The work at Mosaic Conseil is quiet, intense, and focused on the truth of the business. We look for people who prefer the bench to the boardroom and who find satisfaction in the precise reconstruction of complex systems.
