Mobile Solution Architect - (React Native, iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin) - 100% Remote - W2 Contract
Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services organization, is seeking an experienced Mobile Solution Architect to lead the architecture and technical integration of a strategic third-party platform into an enterprise-scale consumer banking application.
This role requires a strong understanding of React Native architecture and development, along with deep native iOS and Android engineering expertise. The organization is leveraging React Native to support both iOS and Android applications, so the ideal candidate must understand how React Native interacts with the underlying native platforms, including SDK integrations, authentication, security, and platform-specific functionality.
We're looking for someone who can operate at both the solution architecture and technical engineering levels. This individual should be comfortable collaborating with React Native developers, challenging architectural decisions with senior Swift and Kotlin engineers, and partnering with backend, security, and external technology teams to design a secure, scalable, and maintainable mobile solution.

- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience architecting enterprise mobile applications.
- Proven experience as a Mobile Solution Architect, Mobile Architect, Principal Engineer, or Lead Mobile Engineer.
- Strong React Native architecture and development experience, including building and integrating cross-platform applications for iOS and Android.
- Deep understanding of native iOS and Android development, including Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose, with the ability to guide and challenge native mobile engineering teams.
- Experience integrating native iOS and Android SDKs, libraries, and platform-specific capabilities within React Native applications.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns, including MVVM, Clean Architecture, component-based design, and separation of concerns.
- Experience architecting integrations involving RESTful APIs, JSON, backend services, mobile SDKs, and third-party platforms.
- Strong knowledge of mobile authentication and authorization, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, token management, and session security.
- Understanding of mobile security best practices, including iOS Keychain, Android Keystore, encryption, biometric authentication, and secure data storage.
- Experience designing and implementing deep linking and navigation strategies across mobile and third-party experiences.
- Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines and release management using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Git.
- Experience with mobile monitoring, crash reporting, and observability tools such as Firebase Crashlytics, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
- Ability to communicate technical architecture and design decisions to engineering teams, security stakeholders, product leaders, and business partners.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and influencing technical decisions across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within banking, fintech, payments, or another highly regulated industry.
- Previous experience integrating a third-party financial technology platform or SDK into an existing consumer mobile application.
- Experience with account linking, identity management, customer authentication, financial transactions, or sensitive customer data.
- Experience designing React Native solutions that require substantial native iOS and Android integrations.
- AWS or other public cloud architecture experience.
- Experience supporting high-volume, highly available consumer-facing mobile applications.
- Previous experience coordinating architecture and technical delivery across separate organizations or external technology partners.
