Optomi, in partnership with a family-owned supermarket chain within the Midwest, is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the design and development of an internal creative automation platform that supports Marketing and Creative teams.

This role sits at the intersection of Adobe Creative workflows, front-end engineering, and emerging AI capabilities, with a strong emphasis on translating creative needs into scalable technical solutions.

This is a hands-on, greenfield role focused on building proof-of-concepts, shaping technical strategy, and partnering closely with designers, marketers, and internal engineering teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating with ambiguity, understands how creatives actually work, and can independently drive solutions from idea to implementation.

Apply Today If Your Background Includes:

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior-level or principal-level responsibilities
• Experience working with Adobe Firefly (API-based or integrated workflows strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of Adobe Creative workflows, including tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or related Creative Cloud products
• Front-end development experience building internal tools or user-facing applications using React and/or Next.js
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous business or creative needs into technical solutions
• Experience building proof-of-concepts and iterating quickly based on stakeholder feedback
• Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight and high ownership
