We’re supporting a client building a highly sophisticated data platform used by technical teams across multiple industries. Their product surfaces large, fast-moving datasets and transforms them into clear, intuitive workflows for internal and external users.

They’re now hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer Contractor to help shape a next-generation dashboard that blends performance, clarity, and thoughtful interaction design. You’ll work closely with engineering and domain specialists to turn dense information into something fast, responsive and effortless to explore.

There is an existing frontend foundation - but major areas still need to be built, refined, and evolved. This role is ideal for someone who loves high-quality UI, cares about how complex data feels in motion, and wants to work in a high-autonomy environment.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Frontend Engineer, Contract | ReactJS, JavaScript (ES6+), TailwindCSS | Fully Remote / UK, EU | Rate £500-600 (or local equivalent), Outside IR35 (UK) | 6 months

• Building rich, interactive interfaces using ReactJS and modern JavaScript
• Designing visual workflows that make large or fast-changing datasets easy to navigate
• Owning component development, interaction patterns, and UI architecture
• Evolving and extending a design system to maintain clarity and consistency
• Working closely with backend and product teams to deliver user experiences that support deep technical investigations and decision-making
• Managing state with clean, predictable React patterns (Context API ideal)
• Continuously improving performance, usability, and frontend quality through iteration

Core Skills for the Frontend Engineer, Contract | ReactJS, JavaScript (ES6+), TailwindCSS | Fully Remote / UK, EU | Rate £500-600 (or local equivalent), Outside IR35 (UK) | 6 months

• Senior-level experience building production ReactJS applications
• Strong ability to turn complex or abstract data into intuitive visual experiences
• Hands-on experience with TailwindCSS or other utility-first styling approaches
• A high attention to detail across components, interactions, and states
• Strong experience with structured design systems and UI consistency
• Proficiency managing application state (Context API preferred)
• Ability to think through UX, performance, and maintainability trade-offs
• Excellent communication skills - the team is remote-first
• Bonus: experience with animation/interaction frameworks (e.g., Framer), or with high-volume data interfaces
