About the Opportunity:
The FULL-STACK ENGINEER 4 is responsible for leading technology projects and development teams to create scalable, cloud-based software solutions that meet regulatory requirements and enhance customer experiences. This role drives technical innovation, sets development standards, and influences long-term technology strategies within an agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead diverse technology projects and developer teams focused on distributed microservices and full stack systems
- Mentor engineering team members and participate in technology communities
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based applications
- Utilize programming languages and tools such as Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services
- Provide technical leadership and establish standards for design, development, and operations
- Partner with architects on service design and integration patterns
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce technical debt and enhance system performance
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices to shape technology strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
- Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms or related technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of coding experience with multiple programming languages
- Experience with database management systems
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms and tools
- Contributions to open source frameworks
- Expertise with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks
- Proven ability with APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing
- Experience with Git-based version control and troubleshooting cloud environments
- Familiarity with AI coding tools and mentoring engineers
- Leadership in cross-functional engineering initiatives
- Establishment of coding standards and design patterns
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Remote (any location): $179,400 - $204,700 annually
- McLean, VA: $197,300 - $225,100 annually
- New York, NY: $215,200 - $245,600 annually
- San Jose, CA: $215,200 - $245,600 annually
- Eligible for performance-based incentives including cash bonuses and long-term incentives
