Mid-Level Full Stack Developer (Laravel-Focused)

Safely is hiring a Laravel-focused full stack developer to help build and improve our core SaaS platform.

We’re an AI-driven operational platform helping organisations manage compliance, performance, and day-to-day operations through cloud software, IoT, mobile apps, and automation. Originally built for hospitality, we are now expanding into sectors including healthcare, education, manufacturing, and facilities management.

This role is primarily focused on our Laravel application and front-end product development, with exposure to integrations, automations, mobile-connected functionality, and AI-powered workflows.

It’s a strong fit for someone who has already built a solid foundation in commercial development and is now looking for a role with more ownership in a live product environment. You do not need to be a senior engineer, but you should be confident in building features, solving practical problems, and working across both front-end and back-end tasks.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and improving features across our Laravel SaaS platform
• Developing dashboards, workflows and internal tools
• Working across front-end and back-end product functionality
• Integrating APIs and supporting background or real-time processes
• Contributing to bug fixes, usability improvements, and platform enhancements
• Supporting selected mobile and AI-connected functionality where needed

We’d like to hear from you if you have

• Around 2–4 years of commercial development experience
• Good Laravel and PHP experience
• Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills
• Experience building and consuming APIs
• MySQL/database experience
• Confidence working across both front-end and back-end tasks
• A practical, problem-solving mindset and willingness to take ownership

Nice to have

• SaaS or product development experience
• Redis, queues, or background job experience
• React or React Native exposure
• AI integration or automation experience
• Concrete5 / Concrete CMS experience
• Git / Bitbucket / SourceTree workflow experience
• Startup or scale-up experience

Additional information

We’re building at pace, and this role is suited to someone who is highly driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment. There will be periods where extra time is needed around launches and key delivery milestones.
