We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to serve as a technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise data platforms while mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence across the organization.
In this role, you will act as the technical anchor for a cross-functional engineering team, guiding architecture decisions, developing scalable applications, and supporting data-driven solutions that improve business outcomes. You will work closely with product, engineering, analytics, and platform teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Serve as the primary technical leader for a cross-functional engineering team.
- Drive architecture, design, and implementation decisions for enterprise software and data platform initiatives.
- Establish scalable, maintainable, and secure technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions.
Full-Stack Application Development
- Design, develop, and maintain modern full-stack applications using Java-based backend technologies and React front-end frameworks.
- Build scalable APIs, microservices, and user-facing applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Ensure software solutions meet performance, security, reliability, and scalability requirements.
- Support continuous enhancement of existing applications and platforms.
Data Platform & Pipeline Engineering
- Develop and maintain data processing pipelines and platform services that support analytics and operational workloads.
- Design scalable data integration and processing solutions for large datasets.
- Support data engineering initiatives that improve data accessibility, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Optimize platform performance and reliability through monitoring and automation.
Cloud-Native Engineering
- Build and deploy applications using modern cloud-native architectures and engineering practices.
- Develop scalable services leveraging containers, microservices, and distributed systems principles.
- Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to improve deployment, monitoring, and operational capabilities.
- Drive adoption of modern development and DevOps methodologies.
AI-Accelerated Development
- Utilize AI-powered engineering tools and coding assistants to improve software delivery speed and quality.
- Promote best practices for AI-assisted development workflows across engineering teams.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve developer productivity.
- Support innovation initiatives involving intelligent software development practices.
Mentorship & Team Development
- Mentor software engineers and promote technical growth across the team.
- Conduct code reviews and establish standards for software quality and maintainability.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
- Guide team members in architectural thinking, design patterns, and development best practices.
Quality, Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Implement automated testing, deployment, and monitoring solutions.
- Support CI/CD processes that enable reliable and efficient software delivery.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Drive ongoing improvements in engineering processes, tools, and practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of software engineering experience.
