About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Front-End Engineer to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a startup environment, demonstrating a strong passion for rapid development without compromising the quality and longevity of the technology. You will collaborate closely with engineering leadership and product teams to ensure the seamless implementation of new features and enhancements. As a key member of our cross-functional agile development team, you will take ownership of critical projects, mentor less experienced engineers, participate in technical interviews, and contribute to shaping our front-end architecture. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely initially, with the potential to be based in California once circumstances permit. Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with React and Redux or equivalent frontend frameworks
- 1+ years of leadership experience in a technical role
- Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services
- Previous startup experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
- Legal authorization to work in California (permanent resident or equivalent)
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and review product requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Lead the development of a React/Redux single-page application, ensuring high performance and scalability
- Make architectural decisions regarding design patterns, libraries, and front-end frameworks to optimize application performance and maintainability
- Implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure code quality and reliability
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and suggest improvements aligned with industry best practices
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend engineers
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
- Participate in technical interviews and assist in building a strong engineering team
