Frontend Engineer (React.js, TypeScript)
Job Description
Posted on: April 23, 2026
About This Role CoreWeave is a leading cloud infrastructure provider specializing in AI-focused solutions. We are rapidly expanding our data center footprint to support the growing demands of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing applications. As part of this growth, we are building purpose-built tools to streamline the planning, tracking, and orchestration of our data center builds. To support this initiative, we are forming a new team dedicated to developing these tools in-house, with a focus on delivering high-performance, scalable, and reliable front-end applications. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the founding front-end engineer for this team, owning the UI layer of our infrastructure management tools. You will collaborate closely with back-end engineers to develop comprehensive applications that manage complex data related to data center infrastructure, including network switches, GPUs, servers, optical transceivers, power distribution units, cooling systems, cable management, rack layouts, and more. Your work will directly impact how efficiently CoreWeave can bring new data centers online, ensuring performance, scalability, and usability are at the forefront of all development efforts. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, particularly in building interfaces capable of rendering and interacting with millions of objects seamlessly. You will make critical architectural decisions, define patterns and best practices, and influence the technological foundation of our infrastructure tools. Your contributions will help establish the performance standards necessary for visualizing and planning complex physical infrastructure in a virtual environment. Qualifications
- Deep proficiency with TypeScript and React, including understanding React’s rendering model and component lifecycle.
- Proven experience building high-performance interfaces handling large, complex datasets with techniques such as virtualization, WebGL, or canvas-based visualization.
- Strong knowledge of front-end architecture, including component design, state management, data fetching, caching, and build tooling.
- Experience designing and consuming APIs with attention to type safety, pagination, error handling, and caching strategies.
- Track record of front-end performance optimization through bundle analysis, profiling, and UI tuning under heavy load conditions.
- Understanding of physical data center infrastructure, including servers, GPUs, network switches, optical transceivers, cabling, power, and cooling systems.
- Excellent collaboration skills with infrastructure engineers and cross-functional teams to translate operational workflows into intuitive UI solutions.
- Minimum of 7+ years of professional front-end engineering experience, with demonstrated leadership and ownership of production systems.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical decisions and advocate for front-end needs across teams.
- Ability to make foundational architectural decisions and influence technical direction at a senior or staff level.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable UI components for visualizing and planning data center infrastructure.
- Build interactive tools for rack elevations, floor layouts, power distribution, and network topology modeling, enabling engineers to validate designs before physical deployment.
- Create data-dense dashboards and views that serve as authoritative sources for asset tracking and build planning across the organization’s global footprint.
- Establish the front-end architecture, including component libraries, state management patterns, data fetching strategies, and build processes that support growth and complexity.
- Collaborate closely with back-end teams to define API contracts, ensuring seamless integration with gRPC, GraphQL, or REST APIs supporting high data throughput and performance.
- Optimize UI performance through virtualization, efficient DOM management, and graphics rendering techniques to handle millions of objects interactively.
- Participate in architectural discussions, making deliberate trade-offs to balance performance, scalability, and developer productivity.
- Work with infrastructure and operations teams to understand workflows, pain points, and operational requirements, translating them into effective UI solutions.
- Contribute to the development of best practices, code reviews, and testing strategies to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $188,000 to $275,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
- Discretionary bonus, equity awards, and comprehensive benefits package.
- 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Company-paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts.
- Health Savings Account (HSA) and tuition reimbursement programs.
- Participation in Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
- Mental health support through Spring Health and family-forming assistance via Carrot.
- Paid parental leave and flexible, full-service childcare support with Kinside.
- 401(k) retirement plan with a generous employer match.
- Flexible paid time off (PTO), casual work environment, and a culture focused on innovation and disruption.
- Daily catered lunch at office locations and opportunities for remote work depending on role requirements.
