Digital Domain Architect

Opportunity Director Level Senior Solution / Domain Architect in Digital for a large Federal Government Department. This is a career defining opportunity to own and drive the Agency’s digital roadmap and modernization of a legacy monolith into a distributed containerized microservices based architecture based on AWS cloud. This role will own customer facing native mobile apps and responsive websites. Initial focus will be insourcing the native mobile app and then grow to multiple public-facing digital assets. Selected architecture React, React Native, GraphQL, RESTful web services, API’s, Kubernetes, Docker containers, Firebase CMS, iOS and Android native apps. 12-month rolling hourly market rate contract, can be based in any location, operating to east coast business hours. Role

• Delivering high quality solution architectures and designs that are fit for business purpose and align solutions with Agency goals and objectives.
• Helping to develop and ensure compliance with reference models, principles, policies, standards and strategic ICT roadmap.
• Engaging with the business and project team to understand the tactical & strategic objectives and requirements.
• Engaging with the enterprise architects, solution leads, business representatives, development team and other relevant stakeholders to ensure solution alignment across domains.
• Providing technical oversight and facilitating complex issues resolution arising during project delivery.
• Ownership and accountability for leading and producing the delivery of coherent technical solutions and technical documentation across the domain.
• Accountable for documentation, knowledge management and architecture visualisation

About You !

• Extensive solutions architecture or domain architecture experience with broad technical knowledge in digital (including native mobile and responsive web) in high availability high volume customer facing apps
• Extensive experience in solution architecture in the Digital Channels domain, incorporating both client and server for mobile and web applications, and complex enterprise-wide integrations.
• Awareness and experience in implementing modern identity and cyber security solutions and protocols applicable to large scale mobile and web applications.
• Proven ability to influence and communicate to both technical and business audiences, translating ideas and concepts such that they are readily understood.
• Experience balancing program, project, and organisational goals, as well as tactical and strategic drivers, and identifying and reducing risks
• React, React Native, GraphQL, API’s, RESTful web services, integration with Firebase or CMS, Mulesoft
• Bachelor of Information Technology or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• Industry experience across health or insurance sectors, or other related industries with large customer bases
• TOGAF certified or equivalent IT architectural qualification, AWS Cloud architecture certifications nice to have.
