2. About the Opportunity:
The Tech Lead, Engineering role is responsible for providing technical direction and leadership to engineering teams working on complex product initiatives. This position ensures the alignment of technical execution with business priorities, promotes engineering excellence, and enhances system performance and reliability. The role significantly contributes to the organization by driving scalable solutions, maintaining system health, and fostering collaboration across product and engineering teams.
3. Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for engineering teams delivering complex products.
- Manage day-to-day technical execution, ensuring work is well scoped and prioritized.
- Design, implement, and test scalable solutions across multiple technologies.
- Maintain technical documentation including design documents and operational guides.
- Develop and track technical project plans with timelines and resource considerations.
- Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to define requirements and priorities.
- Ensure systems have appropriate monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Lead efforts to improve system observability and identify reliability risks.
- Review system health metrics to maintain uptime and performance.
- Lead troubleshooting and incident resolution efforts.
- Ensure CI/CD pipelines support safe and repeatable deployments.
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to align technical solutions with needs.
- Serve as technical liaison within the product triad.
- Communicate deployment processes and technical constraints to diverse audiences.
- Mentor and provide guidance to engineers across teams.
- Promote engineering excellence through code quality, testing, and documentation standards.
- Identify skill and process gaps and collaborate with leadership to address them.
- Encourage innovation in systems, processes, and technologies.
- Perform daily administrative tasks.
4. Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant Engineering, or related field with 4 years relevant full-stack web development experience including modern frontend frameworks and leading engineering teams or driving large-scale architectural changes across multiple teams, OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant Engineering, or related field with 5 years relevant full-stack web development experience including modern frontend frameworks and leading engineering teams or driving large-scale architectural changes across multiple teams.
- 4 years experience building and operating production systems.
- Experience troubleshooting complex production issues, leading incident response and root cause analysis.
- Ability to work closely with product managers and cross-functional partners to align technical solutions with business and user needs.
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines and local development environments.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Rate of pay: $147,500 per year.
