Job summary:

We are seeking a violinist with extensive teaching experience to join the Tomplay product team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the Tomplay Interactive Sheet Music app with cutting-edge features, helping millions of musicians learn and play their instruments. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Project Leadership: In your first project, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the integration of our new features for violin players. 
  2. Market Research and Product Development: You will conduct market research to identify user needs, define product requirements based on your findings, and prepare a detailed product structure brief to share with the designer and video editor. Together with the co-founder of Tomplay, you will oversee the design and development of the new features for violin players.
  3. Content Development: You will be responsible for the content of the new violin product. This includes arranging several songs for beginner violinists using Sibelius, testing these arrangements with your students, gathering feedback, and making necessary adjustments.

What we require from you: 

  • A violinist with extensive music teaching experience and a thorough understanding of music theory concepts, both of each are essential to excel in this role.
  • You teach violin to musicians of all levels, including beginners, and have a deep understanding of the needs and challenges amateur musicians face when learning an instrument.
  • You are well-organized and autonomous, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a keen eye for detail.
  • Fluency in English is essential (native proficiency is preferred), along with excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with all stakeholders involved in the project.
  • You are naturally tech-savvy and spend a considerable amount of time online. You have a strong understanding of how the web and apps work and can quickly adapt to new software platforms. You regularly use digital music learning platforms and believe that new technologies can positively impact the music learning process.

Type of position: Fully remote and flexible working hours possible. To be discussed during the interview.  

Start date: August 1st (flexible and can be discussed during the interview).
