## About the Role
Veeva Systems is seeking a Remote Senior Software Engineer – Front End to build and maintain the user interfaces of cloud-based applications using modern JavaScript frameworks. Working within a dynamic, startup-like environment inside a stable and profitable company, you’ll solve complex customer problems, develop in rapid sprints, and contribute to software that supports the life sciences industry.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with backend engineers, designers, and QA engineers throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is an experienced UI engineer who is a team player, learns quickly, has a strong drive for excellence, and can mentor others while contributing to overall software architecture and product quality.
## Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain user interfaces for Veeva’s cloud-based applications.
* Build software using modern JavaScript frameworks.
* Solve customer problems and experiment with new ideas.
* Decompose existing software systems and contribute to improving overall architecture.
* Collaborate with backend and design teams on application development.
* Work with QA engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive test coverage.
* Troubleshoot products and contribute to technical support.

## Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of UI development experience.
* Proficiency with JavaScript.
* Experience with ES6.
* Familiarity with open-source Java stack development, including Java, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, JUnit, and Tomcat.
* Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.
* Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
* Proficiency with CSS abstraction layers such as SASS or JSS.
* Proven ability to mentor team members and make the engineering team better.
* Unrestricted right to work in the United States.

## Compensation & Benefits
* **Base Pay:** $110,000 - $270,000 USD
* Actual salary may vary within or outside the stated range depending on experience and location.
* Compensation is based on individual qualifications, experience, and expected contributions.
