Website Developer – Sports MVP

This role involves building the MVP for Players Profile Hub, a new platform designed for grassroots football. The platform will enable parents to create and manage player profiles for young athletes, featuring public profiles, highlight video uploads (YouTube only for MVP), and sharing capabilities for scouts and clubs. The MVP will include approximately 11 core sections, such as player discovery with search filters, a feed for recent highlight clips, a contact form, and a fully mobile-responsive design. UI concepts and structural documentation are provided to guide the development process. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering robust, scalable MVPs and be able to work independently to meet project milestones. Responsibilities

• Develop the MVP using React with Next.js for the frontend and Node.js with Firebase or Supabase for the backend
• Implement user authentication, profile creation, and management features
• Integrate YouTube video embedding for highlight reels
• Build search and filter functionality for player discovery
• Create a feed to display recent highlight clips
• Develop a contact form for inquiries
• Ensure the platform is fully mobile responsive and optimized for performance
• Collaborate using provided UI concepts and structure documents
• Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Provide regular progress updates and communicate effectively regarding timelines and deliverables

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience building web applications with React, Next.js, Node.js, and Firebase or Supabase
• Strong understanding of authentication, user management, and RESTful API integration
• Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development
• Ability to implement video embedding and media management features
• Familiarity with search, filtering, and feed-based UI components
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and deliver to agreed timelines
• Strong communication skills and ability to interpret UI/UX documentation
• Portfolio of similar projects or MVPs is highly desirable
• Availability to start soon and commit to project milestones
