Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Founding Full Stack Software Engineer to join our core team. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of our technology stack and play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our product and company. You will work closely with the founders to architect, build, and deploy scalable web applications, set technical standards, and establish a strong engineering culture. This role is ideal for entrepreneurial engineers who thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and are eager to influence both technology and business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Design & Build: Architect, develop, and deploy scalable web applications from scratch (frontend & backend).
• Tech Leadership: Make key technical decisions, set standards, and shape the product roadmap alongside the founders.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Set up and manage cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure, but AWS/GCP experience is also welcome).
• Mentoring: Guide and mentor junior engineers as the team grows.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the founding team to iterate quickly, validate ideas, and deliver MVPs.
• Ownership: Take full ownership of the tech stack and codebase, ensuring quality, security, and scalability.
• Culture: Help foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and continuous learning.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years as a full stack engineer, with a strong portfolio of shipped products or projects.
• Frontend: Proficiency in modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).
• Backend: Deep experience with server-side languages (Node.js, Python, Java, etc.) and RESTful APIs.
• Cloud: Hands-on experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP - deployment, monitoring, CI/CD.
• Databases: Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• DevOps: Familiarity with containerization (Docker etc.) and automation tools.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Startup Mindset: Entrepreneurial spirit, high ownership, and passion for building from zero-to-one.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting.

Nice to Have

• Experience with early-stage startups or as a technical co-founder.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity.

• Location: Remote / Flexible (preferably North California)
• Compensation:Equity only (until funding secured), with future salary upon successful investment round
• Commitment: Part-time or full-time (flexible for the right candidate)
