Founding Full-Stack Tech Lead

Virtual Days is rebuilding our platform on a clean and scalable architecture, and we are looking for a Founding Full-Stack Tech Lead to own the technical direction and build core features of our new product. This role is remote-first with high ownership, direct collaboration with founders, and the opportunity to influence both product and engineering culture. Success in this role means defining a strong architecture, shipping high-quality solutions across the full stack and helping shape a platform used by thousands of candidates and employers.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the platform architecture and implementation.
• Develop core features across C#, .NET 9, GraphQL, React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Extend our backend including authentication, SSO, admin portal and real-time chat.
• Collaborate closely with founders, product and a remote engineering team.
• Work with AI-assisted tools to increase development speed and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with C# and .NET.
• Strong experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with Kubernetes or k3s and Postgres.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to drive development independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with the Grafana observability stack.
• Experience with real-time features such as WebSockets or chat.
• Experience as a lead engineer or architect.
• Being based in Stockholm is a plus but not required.
