About The Role

Dragos is seeking a highly skilled Staff Front End Engineer to join our UI Community and the Microsegmentation Product Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and evolving our OT Security Platform, focusing on delivering scalable, high-performance user interfaces that enhance customer experience and security capabilities. You will work within a matrix-style engineering organization, contributing to both the broader UI community and the specific needs of the Microsegmentation team. Your responsibilities will extend beyond feature implementation to include system architecture, setting UI standards, and mentoring engineers across multiple teams. As a product-oriented engineer, you will solve complex problems, influence technical strategies, and ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of usability, performance, and security. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead technical initiatives that directly impact the safety and security of critical infrastructure worldwide.

Qualifications

• 68+ years of experience with modern front-end development stacks, including React, TypeScript, Redux, etc.
• Proven experience in architecting scalable frontend systems and leading technical direction for complex applications.
• Active utilization of AI-assisted development tools, with the ability to set expectations for their secure, effective, and scalable adoption across teams.
• Deep understanding of performance optimization techniques and scalable UI architecture principles.
• Strong leadership skills, including mentoring and influencing engineers across multiple teams.
• Experience with build tools such as Vite, Turbo, Rollup, Webpack, and CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions and Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining focus on customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve scalable UI frameworks and product subsystems to support the growth of the Dragos Platform.
• Define and drive technical strategy, establishing standards for performance, testing, and maintainability within the UI Community.
• Lead cross-team initiatives to improve workflows, tooling, and platform reliability, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to align system architecture with user experience goals and security standards.
• Write, test, and debug critical frontend applications, providing guidance to engineering teams on best practices and technical excellence.
• Review designs and implementation across multiple teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
• Champion accessibility, optimize performance, and promote user-centered design principles at scale.
• Mentor and develop engineers within the UI Community, shaping its technical direction and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
