About The Role As a Software Engineer at Clipboard, you will play a pivotal role in developing scalable, high-quality features that directly impact healthcare staffing solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, high-impact environment where your contributions will help improve the lives of healthcare professionals and facilities nationwide. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software solutions primarily using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and NestJS. The role emphasizes ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from problem identification and solution design to deployment and ongoing support. Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with Product Managers, internal teams, and occasionally end-users to ensure that your work addresses real-world needs effectively. The role is fully remote, embracing Clipboard’s remote-first culture, and involves participating in on-call rotations to maintain reliable service delivery. This is an evergreen position, with ongoing opportunities for talented engineers eager to grow their skills and make a meaningful impact in healthcare technology. Qualifications
- Professional experience in software engineering or related fields
- Proficiency with TypeScript and JavaScript
- Experience with React, Node.js, and NestJS frameworks
- Familiarity with AWS services such as ECS and Terraform (or eagerness to learn)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, especially in a remote, asynchronous environment
- Ability to work independently and proactively identify areas for improvement
- Growth mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies and processes
- Experience with deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, performant, and reliable features using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and NestJS
- Own the full software development lifecycle, including problem analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Deploy code using trunk-based development, feature branches, and automated regression testing
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Engage with internal teams and end-users to gather feedback and refine features accordingly
- Participate actively in a remote-first, globally distributed team environment, ensuring clear and effective communication
- Contribute to a customer-centric approach by prioritizing user experience and resolving bugs promptly
- Take part in on-call rotations to support reliable service delivery and incident management
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve code quality, processes, and team efficiency
