The Opportunity
We are seeking a Development Coordinator to maintain, enhance, and modernize Zantaz's enterprise software solutions while overseeing technical development and delivery of new product capabilities.
This hands-on role combines software engineering, system architecture, product development, technical project coordination, and AI-assisted coding. You will directly investigate and resolve software issues, develop new capabilities, review external developers' work, and ensure software releases meet high standards for security, performance, usability, and maintainability.
You will collaborate closely with our Account Management, Professional Services, Infrastructure, and Development partners to translate business requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions.
The ideal candidate is a technically skilled software engineer and resourceful problem-solver who enjoys building products, improving existing technology, leveraging AI development tools, and taking ownership of technical delivery.
What You Will Do
Software Development & Product Engineering
- Hands-On Development: Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise software applications, including existing Zantaz archive technology and approved Logix development initiatives.
- Product Architecture: Translate business requirements into technical specifications, scalable architectures, optimized SQL/NoSQL databases, and actionable development plans.
- Legacy Modernization: Investigate complex software defects, improve existing codebases, resolve technical debt, and modernize applications while respecting intellectual property and licensing requirements.
- Frontend & User Experience: Develop responsive interfaces and intuitive customer workflows using modern frontend technologies, established design systems, and accessibility best practices.
- Backend Engineering & Security: Build reliable APIs and backend services with secure authentication, input validation, secrets management, and appropriate performance optimization.
- Code Quality & Testing: Apply software engineering standards, design patterns, automated testing, and disciplined debugging to ensure maintainable, secure, and reliable code.
Development Coordination & Release Management
- Development Planning: Translate customer needs and product priorities into development requirements, technical designs, acceptance criteria, and achievable milestones.
- Contractor Management: Scope and coordinate external development work, review delivered code, validate quality and security, and ensure adherence to Zantaz's technical standards and intellectual property requirements.
- Code Review & Quality Assurance: Review pull requests, dependencies, test coverage, and security risks before approving integration or release.
- DevOps & Release Management: Maintain GitHub and Azure DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, version control, reproducible builds, and separation of development, staging, and production environments.
- Deployment & Documentation: Prepare release notes, technical documentation, testing evidence, deployment instructions, rollback plans, and support handoffs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Account Management, Professional Services, and Infrastructure teams to align development priorities, deployment readiness, and customer requirements.
AI, Automation & Continuous Improvement
At Zantaz, AI is integral to how we develop software. We seek professionals who actively leverage AI-assisted engineering and automation to accelerate development while maintaining code quality, security, and technical accountability.
- AI-Assisted Software Development: Use tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, and modern AI development platforms to accelerate coding, debugging, refactoring, and feature development.
- Intelligent Code Analysis: Apply AI to investigate legacy applications, identify defects, analyze dependencies, and recommend maintainable improvements.
- AI-Powered Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop AI-assisted workflows for test generation, code reviews, vulnerability identification, regression prevention, and release validation.
- Development Automation & AI Agents: Build and maintain AI-powered workflows that streamline development planning, documentation, pull requests, CI/CD processes, and release management.
- AI Tooling & Integration: Configure and maintain approved AI development environments, agent instructions, and integrations such as Model Context Protocol [MCP], with appropriate security and access controls.
- Responsible AI Engineering: Validate AI-generated code, dependencies, and technical recommendations through human review, comprehensive testing, and secure development practices.
Candidates should demonstrate AI-assisted software or development workflows they have personally built, tested, deployed, and maintained, including measurable improvements in engineering productivity, software quality, or delivery efficiency.
