We’re looking for an experienced full-stack Software Developer to join a major UK Government digital programme. You’ll build services that support frontline public services across the country, mostly working from home.

🌳 Almost fully remote. You only need to visit an office (London, Sheffield, Birmingham or Leeds) about once a month.
🌳 Up to £470 per day Inside IR35

What you’ll be doing
🌲 Building back-end APIs with Kotlin and Spring Boot
🌲 Designing and managing databases with PostgreSQL and Flyway
🌲 Developing front-end UIs with TypeScript, Express, Nunjucks and the GOV.UK Design System
🌲 Writing integration tests with Cypress or Playwright
🌲 Working with multidisciplinary teams to ship user-centred services
What you’ll bring
🌴 Strong commercial experience with Java and Kotlin, Spring Boot and TypeScript
🌴 Active SC clearance (essential)
🌴 Experience on UK Government digital projects. Justice or prisons domain experience is a big plus.
🌴 Comfort working across the full stack, from API to UI
🌴 A strong testing mindset and good communication skills
