Working as part of an established engineering team, you'll contribute to new product features, enhance existing functionality, and drive technical improvements including dependency upgrades, framework migrations, refactoring, and performance optimisation.
Essential Experience
Top 3 Must-Haves
- 5+ years' commercial frontend development experience with strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong experience across the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem, including state management, automated testing, build tooling, dependency management, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven track record developing and maintaining large-scale React applications, delivering new features, modernising existing codebases, and performing framework or dependency upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable React-based applications.
- Deliver new functionality and product enhancements.
- Refactor and modernise existing code to improve performance and maintainability.
- Perform framework migrations and dependency upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams within an Agile environment.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Deep understanding of frontend architecture, component design, and state management solutions such as Redux, MobX, or React Query.
- Experience working within large, complex codebases.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Jest, Cypress, Webpack, Rsbuild, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience integrating with REST APIs and backend services.
- Ability to work independently and quickly get up to speed in unfamiliar environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
