Engineering Manager (Remote – UK) Up to £100k + bonus + equity
We’re working with a fast-scaling consumer platform on a mission to build a globally loved product used by millions. Backed by strong growth and a highly engaged user base, they’re now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a key squad focused on driving customer acquisition and conversion.
This is a role for someone who enjoys sitting at the intersection of engineering, product, and business impact, not just shipping features, but shaping what should be built and why.
The role
You’ll lead a cross-functional engineering squad focused on the early user journey, taking visitors from first touch through to conversion.
Alongside line management responsibilities, you’ll partner closely with Product and Design, acting as a true counterpart to your PM. This is a high-impact role where you’ll influence roadmap decisions, technical direction, and how the team delivers.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers, owning performance, progression and day-to-day team health
- Work closely with Product and Design to shape roadmap decisions and prioritisation
- Drive a strong experimentation culture — shipping quickly, validating ideas early, and iterating based on data
- Use metrics (including delivery and performance signals) to continuously improve team output
- Own technical direction across frontend, backend and mobile, ensuring scalable and pragmatic decisions
- Contribute to wider engineering leadership, helping shape culture, standards and strategy
- Champion modern ways of working, including AI-assisted development and tooling
Tech environment
- React / Next.js / React Native
- Python (Django)
- AWS
What they’re looking for
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, with ownership of performance and team development
- Strong engineering background with the ability to operate at a systems and architecture level
- Experience working in product-led, B2C environments (ideally growth or acquisition focused)
- Comfortable owning trade-offs between speed, experimentation and longer-term technical investment
- Confident communicating with non-technical stakeholders and influencing product direction
Why this role
- Genuine product ownership — you’ll shape outcomes, not just delivery
- High-growth environment with clear commercial impact
- Strong engineering culture with a focus on experimentation and continuous improvement
- Fully remote with flexibility built in
- Competitive package including bonus and meaningful equity
If you’re someone who enjoys building high-performing teams, partnering closely with product, and working on problems that directly impact growth, this is a great one to explore.
