SC Cleared Full Stack Engineer – Central Government
£500 per day | Inside IR35 | 12-Month Contract | Fully Remote
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join a major long-term Central Government programme.
This is an initial 12-month contract, offering fully remote working and the opportunity to work on modern, cloud-native applications supporting critical UK public services.
The Role
You will work as part of an established engineering team, designing, developing and delivering scalable applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript technologies and AWS.
The role will involve working across the full development lifecycle, with a particular focus on React, TypeScript, Node.js and AWS serverless technologies.
You will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing modern full-stack applications using React, TypeScript and Node.js
- Building and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs
- Developing cloud-native solutions within AWS
- Working with AWS services including Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS, Step Functions and CloudWatch
- Building and maintaining REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Working within microservices and event-driven architectures
- Provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
- Supporting automated CI/CD pipelines
- Writing high-quality automated tests using tools such as Jest, Playwright or Cypress
- Working within Agile multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Contributing to technical decisions, architecture and engineering best practice
