About the Role
The company is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build and scale applications across the frontend and backend. This role is suited to an experienced TypeScript engineer who enjoys developing new products, solving complex technical problems, and taking responsibility for projects from initial design through deployment.
You will work with React, Node.js, and modern API technologies to develop user-facing applications and backend services supporting complex financial workflows. You will also contribute to AI-powered features, third-party integrations, and architectural decisions alongside engineering leadership.
Key Responsibilities
•Design, develop, and ship end-to-end product features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
•Build scalable backend services and APIs that support complex financial workflows.
•Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs using Apollo.
•Design, maintain, and optimize relational data models in PostgreSQL.
•Build integrations with third-party financial services and lending platforms.
•Contribute to AI-powered product features and intelligent automation.
•Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
•Own complex engineering projects from initial technical design through implementation and deployment.
•Collaborate with engineering leadership on architectural decisions and product development.
•Help establish engineering practices that support the team's continued growth.
•Work effectively with a distributed engineering team to deliver reliable production applications.
Required Qualifications
•Strong professional software engineering experience, ideally at a senior level.
•Deep proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
•Production experience building applications with React and Node.js.
•Experience designing, developing, and maintaining backend APIs.
•Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and PostgreSQL or comparable technologies.
•Experience building and supporting scalable, reliable production applications.
•Ability to independently manage complex technical projects from design through deployment.
•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
•Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience working at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
•Background in fintech, lending, payments, or financial services.
•Experience with GraphQL, Apollo, or complex third-party API integrations.
•Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Terraform.
•Experience building AI-powered applications or integrating large language models (LLMs).
•Experience mentoring other engineers or contributing to technical architecture.
