About the Role
ElevenMusic, a dedicated consumer music application within ElevenLabs, offers a platform where users can listen, create, remix, and stream music. Operating in a fast-paced, autonomous environment, the team is focused on building innovative features that leverage AI to enhance musical experiences. As a key member of the ElevenMusic team, you will be responsible for owning end-to-end product development—from identifying user needs and defining problems to designing, implementing, and deploying features that reach a broad audience within days. Your work will involve collaborating closely with research engineering teams to translate AI model capabilities into intuitive, engaging user experiences. Since the space is relatively uncharted, you will have the opportunity to shape product direction without a predefined playbook, testing ideas directly with real users and iterating rapidly. Your strong product taste, technical expertise, and passion for music will be essential in creating products that resonate with both creators and listeners, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with AI and music technology.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in shipping and owning consumer products from inception to launch, with a track record of delivering features to real users
- Deep understanding of frontend and backend systems, with the ability to identify and resolve issues related to security, complexity, or performance
- Exceptional product judgment, with the ability to prioritize features and make strategic decisions that maximize user value
- Ability to work autonomously, taking full responsibility for project outcomes and problem-solving
- Genuine interest or background in music and understanding of the needs of creators and music enthusiasts
- Strong technical skills, including familiarity with system architecture and development best practices
- Bonus: Open-source contributions or GitHub portfolio, experience building music or audio products, or familiarity with recommendation systems and embeddings
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of product features, from problem identification and design to implementation and deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including research engineering, design, and marketing to develop innovative music and AI-driven features
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and secure code for both frontend and backend components
- Continuously analyze user feedback and usage data to refine features and improve user experience
- Maintain a deep understanding of system architecture to ensure reliability, security, and performance
- Test and validate AI model integrations to ensure they meet user needs and quality standards
- Stay informed of industry trends in AI, music technology, and user experience to drive innovation
