I’m looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join us at JoyBuggy, our international digital games store, for a fully remote position open to anyone from Europe.
We’ve recently rebuilt the platform and are growing quickly. We’re now strengthening our engineering capacity to deliver new features consistently and keep daily operations reliable.
This is a hands-on role working directly with me, with responsibility across our storefront, backend, supplier integrations and production environment.
Our stack:
- Python, async FastAPI, MongoDB, Beanie and Celery
- React 19, TypeScript, MUI, Redux Toolkit and RTK Query
- Docker/Podman, Compose and nginx
- Cloudflare and S3-compatible object storage
I’m particularly interested in engineers with strong Python and React experience who are comfortable understanding an existing codebase, troubleshooting production issues and taking changes through to a verified release.
Experience with e-commerce, supplier APIs, background jobs and payment integrations would be especially valuable.
Useful additional experience includes multiple payment providers, internationalisation across 46 locales, WebAuthn/2FA, Headless Chrome/prerendering and Discord integrations.
You don’t need to have used every library listed above. Strong fundamentals, sound judgement and the ability to learn an existing system matter.
Other than hard skills listed above, a quality candidate should also bring to the table:
- Clear, proactive communication and good English
- Consistent availability during agreed working hours
- Realistic estimates and early visibility of blockers
- Changes tested by the developer and made available for acceptance testing before release
- Clear sign-off, deployment and verification afterwards
- Documentation and knowledge sharing that help the team maintain the platform confidently
You’ll work closely with the business, see the impact of your work and help shape the technical roadmap of a growing company in the games industry.
