About the Role
This position offers an opportunity to lead the design and development of scalable full stack systems that support complex, data-driven product experiences. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership across backend services, data models, and frontend architectures. You will build end-to-end applications that integrate AI capabilities to deliver enterprise insights and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of full stack applications, including backend services, REST and GraphQL APIs, and frontend interfaces, with a focus on modularity, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to translate requirements into intuitive user experiences and scalable backend solutions.
- Define and evolve canonical data models, manage complex entity relationships such as graphs and hierarchies, and develop indexing and search solutions using Elasticsearch and vector search.
- Build event-driven architectures using Kafka and cloud pub/sub services, implementing asynchronous workflows and stream processing for scalable, real-time data handling.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, and entity resolution, into product workflows.
- Establish frontend architecture using modern frameworks such as React, Vue, and Angular, with an emphasis on performance, accessibility, and shared UI component libraries.
- Improve service reliability through system observability, automated testing, and continuous improvement practices.
- Implement security measures, including role-based access control (RBAC) and attribute-based access control (ABAC), across application layers.
- Mentor engineering teams on architecture, code quality, and technical innovation while promoting engineering best practices.
- Work with DevOps and Security teams to support compliant, scalable, and resilient infrastructure, primarily on AWS.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of professional full stack software engineering experience, including demonstrated leadership in complex enterprise systems.
- Strong expertise in backend frameworks such as FastAPI and Django, and frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, and Angular, along with modern build tools such as Vite.
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of relational, NoSQL, and graph database modeling.
- Extensive experience designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs, with knowledge of large-scale, service-oriented architectures.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka and cloud pub/sub services, including asynchronous processing pipelines.
- Experience implementing RBAC, ABAC, and multi-tenant applications.
- Familiarity with search technologies, including Elasticsearch and vector search.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native development on AWS, CI/CD, observability, and automation practices.
- Familiarity with integrating AI/ML capabilities, including RAG, semantic search, and AI workflow observability.
- Ability to translate technical solutions into scalable, business-oriented products and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience in data-intensive industries such as finance, property management, or enterprise analytics.
- Active use of AI coding assistants and agents, with an understanding of their role in modern software development workflows.
- Knowledge of search optimization and domain-specific data modeling in complex enterprise environments.
