About the Opportunity:
The FRONTEND ENGINEER role within the Design Systems team is centered on advancing shared components and patterns that enhance user interfaces across the organization. This position involves collaborating closely with designers and engineers to translate design intentions into functional software, improving usability and accessibility. The engineer will contribute to evolving the design system, influencing how teams build and deliver consistent product experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop shared components and patterns using React and TypeScript for use across multiple products.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to align software implementations with design intentions.
- Enhance the accessibility, interaction quality, and reliability of user interface components.
- Improve usability of the design system by refining documentation, examples, and workflows.
- Utilize AI tools to prototype, evaluate, and integrate new coding approaches.
Requirements:
- Foundational skills in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS with the ability to articulate coding decisions.
- Attention to visual detail and user experience, including accessibility considerations.
- Practical experience with AI coding tools to generate and assess code.
- Demonstrated ownership, learning aptitude, and effective communication.
- Interest in reusable systems and balancing shared component tradeoffs.
- Collaborative problem-solving skills with designers and engineers.
- Experience or interest in design systems, prototyping, or developer tooling is advantageous.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- US employees (any location): 140,800—158,400 USD base salary range.
- Canadian employees (any location): 115,700—149,700 CAD base salary range.
- Total rewards include base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits.
