The Opportunity
We’re looking for a hands-on Founding Software Engineer to help build the next evolution of SideKix, our product, technology, and engineering culture.
What You’ll do
- Help lead development of the SideKix iOS app, bringing deep expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Apple’s development ecosystem.
- Partner with our iOS product team to bring SideKix to market, translating Figma designs into polished, intuitive experiences that follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
- Review and improve our existing iOS codebase, strengthening architecture, performance, stability, and maintainability before launch.
- Build and maintain integrations for APIs, authentication, AI features, voice interactions, payments, and cloud services.
- Own Apple platform integrations, including in app purchases, subscriptions, push notifications, and Sign in with Apple.
- Manage iOS testing, automated builds, TestFlight distribution, App Store submissions, and release management, including resolving App Review feedback.
- Diagnose crashes, optimize app responsiveness and memory usage, and use analytics and member feedback to improve the experience.
- Support Flutter development for Android and Web as needed, with native iOS as the primary focus.
- Write clean, maintainable, well documented code and establish strong engineering practices.
What You Bring
- Proven track record building, shipping, and iterating on production software.
- Strong experience building mobile and web applications with Swift, Flutter, APIs, AWS, Stripe, and Firebase.
- Experience designing scalable application architecture and creating reliable, maintainable systems.
- A founder mindset: comfortable taking ownership, solving ambiguous problems, and moving between technical execution and product strategy.
- Experience managing production releases, deployments, app store submissions, testing, and ongoing product improvements.
- Passion for AI-driven personalization, thoughtful user experiences, and human-centered design.
- Familiarity with Figma, analytics tools, monitoring platforms, and modern development workflows.
- Bonus: Experience building products for small businesses, creators, education, or community-driven platforms.
