About the Opportunity:
The FRONTEND ENGINEER will build and maintain web applications used by customers and internal teams, contributing to the delivery of reliable and polished software products. The role involves working across the frontend stack, collaborating closely with design, product, and backend teams to ensure high-quality user experiences. This position is important for enabling the organization to provide effective tools and interfaces that facilitate AI data handling and modeling.
Responsibilities:
- Develop features for customer-facing and internal web applications in environments integrated with Rails as well as standalone frameworks
- Maintain and enhance the shared component library, including documentation and accessibility
- Implement designs with accuracy and provide constructive feedback on design specifications
- Optimize application performance focusing on rendering, bundle size, and handling large data sets
- Maintain and extend test coverage
- Troubleshoot production issues using monitoring tools
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience building production web interfaces with React and TypeScript
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, responsive layouts, and Tailwind
- Skilled at working directly from Figma files and collaborating with designers
- Experience integrating REST APIs and managing authentication and various UI states
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, or Playwright
- Understanding of coding agents and their practical application
- Clear written communication with cross-functional teams
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Base Salary: $130,000 to $165,000 depending on experience and location
- Equity: Competitive equity package within a well-funded AI startup
